” This is the start of our sweet little story, the part where your page meets mine, no matter where our tale takes us tomorrow, our story will always read.”

I have just received this beautiful coffee table book (Printed in Japan) It offers beautifully printed magazine style pages in a matte finish that is designed to protect the pages, along with the layflat binding allowing to fully display your images without gutter loss. As soon as you pick up your album, you can feel the weight of good craftsmanship in your hands.
Our coffee table book has a fully designable hard cover and is nicely presented in a plastic slide-in case that offers extra protection and easy portability.

A lot of couples ask for help when deciding on where to shoot their engagement session at, so you’re not alone. As a experienced photographer, I can easily throw out names of some gorgeous locations but first, There are few things to consider where is the unique spot for your engagement shoot. eg “Consider A Location That Is Sentimental And Meaningful To You”, “Consider Your Favourite Hobby Or Activity” or “Consider The Type Of Outfits You Will Be Wearing” …etc. These things will help you think of a location that reflects you as a couple, and also make your session more meaningful!
This time Elaine & James had their photo shoot at university of hong kong where they first met and where their love story began. We started off at the main building, the university’s oldest structure (Constructed between 1910 and 1912) and It is built in the post-renaissance style with red brick and granite and has two courtyards. Our shoot day came and the weather was good to us, being overcast but with some sunny spells. we had a wonderful afternoon, having fun and making gorgeous pictures for this gorgeous couple. I love them a lot and I can’t wait for their wedding now!
Here are some of my favourites from their session…
We – wedding photographer like to think of ourselves as storytellers. We are telling a couple’s love story. This is one of my favorite things about being wedding photographer. However, my expectation, perception and experience sometime make me to create something I want but not telling the couple’s story.
I was very excited when Kristie & Alan engaging me to take their pre-wedding photo in New Zealand. I was expecting to take some stunning natural scenery shots – something like I have seen on travel TV program. But after getting to know them more and listen their story, I know that it is not what they want. Kristie & Alan lived and studied in Auckland and they want to have their photo shoot where they met (School) and where is meaningful to them. So I just “let their story guide me and tell their story in a unique way” !!
I am so happy to share with you this intimate photo session for Kristie & Alan at their home in New Zealand. Without any background at all, just a sofa and window. Just focus on their love & interactions.
