My husband and I are both very picky creative minds. We did our pre-wedding shots ourselves, but that doesn’t take away the question of finding a photographer we can trust for our Big Day.
Weddings are often loaded with many items (e.g. people, decor, …) and can often clutter up photos. Then it’s the undesirable but uncontrollable lighting that could be ruining the shots. Then it’s the style — we wanted more than the usual journalistic styles since our day is an event to be reminisced, not only one to be recorded. My frustrations were relieved when I came across History Studio. Kong Wai’s portfolio impressed me instantly, which is pretty rare for our finickiness, and without a second thought we booked him in for our Big Day. And my high expectations were fulfilled, how sweet!
Another thing to mention apart from his gentle and artsy photographic touch, is how brisk he delivers the photos — 2 months from the big day, ~1000 shots in total! This is much quicker and voluminous than perhaps anywhere else. Given that your relatives will start bugging you for shots after 2 weeks, this is another positive feature to consider.
All in all, we’re very happy with Kong Wai and all that we’ve received from him. We appreciate (and admire) his talent and think of him highly.”
